The Story Of Our Hotel in Downtown Boston

The Colonnade Boston Hotel opened in 1971. Over the past 40+ years, this celebrated Back Bay Boston hotel has proudly met the needs of sophisticated travelers from around the world. During this time, neither the hotel's commitment to excellence nor its ownership has changed, perhaps the secret of The Colonnade's success. The present owner, Ronald Druker, is part of a distinguished hotel lineage spanning three generations. Ronald’s father, Bertram Druker, built The Colonnade. And his grandfather John founded the twin Braemore and Kenmore hotels, which stood in Boston's old Governor's Square, later named Kenmore Square in honor of the landmark property. Today, Ronald leads the venerable Druker Company, one of the city's most respected real estate firms. The Colonnade has distinguished itself among Boston Back Bay hotels with a world-renowned reputation for excellence. Through the years, we have attracted luminaries from the worlds of politics, entertainment, and sports. These include Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Gerald Ford, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Shirley MacLaine, Harry Connick Jr., Val Kilmer, Matt Damon, Vanessa Williams, Mel Torme, Bill Russell, and Larry Bird. Why not visit us and add your name to the legacy?

The Colonnade Hotel has provided genuine Bostonian hospitality to residents and visitors for more than 40 years.
