A Close Up Of A Tree

Colonnade Reopening

A Message from The Colonnade Boston

Almost 50 years after opening and just completing a $28 million dollar renovation, The Colonnade Hotel is ready to welcome guests back on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020. You might be wondering what took us so long. When the spread of Covid-19 caused the shutdown of Greater Boston in March, we knew our operations would need to shift drastically to keep our employees and guests safe. For the past few months, we have been working hard to put procedures in place that will ensure everything and everyone within our four walls is safe and healthy.

The Colonnade experience will look and feel a bit different when we reopen, but as always, our top priority is delivering hospitality. In light of the global pandemic, that hospitality means looking out for our guests and our employees in every sense and earning their trust. Our team will be as warm and welcoming as ever, but that service will take place behind a mask, and from six feet away. Our housekeeping staff will practice new protocols to ensure that guest rooms and common areas are pristine. All staff and guests will complete a non-invasive temperature check upon entering the hotel. Our check-in time has been delayed by one hour to allow for additional cleaning time between guest arrivals. “Safe Keys” will be provided to all guests at check-in to help with touchless door opening, elevator use, and more. Touchless sanitization stations will be located throughout the hotel. And the list goes on…

Above all, we are committed to being flexible, and to working within the city and state’s Covid-19 safety regulations. We are proud of our long history as one of Boston’s premiere hotels, and we are grateful to have your trust during this unexpected new chapter.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We hope to welcome you back soon to The Colonnade Hotel starting Tuesday, September 1st for an overnight stay in one of our newly redesigned guestrooms and suites or for a visit to Boston’s only Roof Top Pool.

Stay well,

David Colella
