Boston’s Only Hotel Roof Top Pool Opens May 26 as the City’s Ultimate Summer Cool Spot
BOSTON, MA – May 26, 2009 – It’s been a long winter -- what better way to usher in the days of summer than relaxing poolside 12 stories above Boston’s historic Back Bay neighborhood at the city’s only hotel roof top pool? The Colonnade Hotel invites guests and neighbors to do just that when the hotel’s Roof Top Pool opens for the 2009 season on Tuesday, May 26. The Roof Top Pool is open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm for hotel guests until Labor Day. Bostonians, too, can gain access every Monday through Friday for a nominal fee of $30. The pool’s lofty perch makes it an ideal setting for private parties, summer outings and corporate receptions. The Colonnade Hotel’s Roof Top Pool has been praised as one of the “Top U.S. Hotel Pool Bars,” “The Best Reason to Call in Sick,” and is rated one of the “Top 10 Great Places Built for Making a Splash.”
Guests who book the hotel’s Summer Meltdown package have another reason to celebrate the heat and enjoy Boston’s sultry evenings. Each Friday through Labor Day, guests who reserve this two-night package pay the rate of $269 per room minus the temperature on the first night, based on the 5:00 p.m. reading by the National Weather Service, (i.e. if the temperature reads 89 degrees at 5:00 pm in Boston on the first night, guests pay $180), and then pay the $269 rate on Saturday night. This package is subject to applicable taxes and availability.
