Perhaps inspired by U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name" concert atop a building in Los Angeles, the Roof Top Pool at The Colonnade Hotel has become one of the most unique spots in Boston to perform.
SHINEDOWN
06-13-13 The American rock band from Jacksonville, FL lands at Boston's only Roof Top Pool courtesy of WAAF Boston.
"Shinedown are becoming Kings of the Rock Power Ballad. The kind of song where you find your arm reaching for a lighter once it starts. The kind of song that could be great for a slow dance but kicks in just enough to make it seem a little awkward. Must be their Duval County, Florida roots. Lynyrd Skynyrd are from the same area. One thing is for sure, Brent Smith's voice is for real. No auto-tune there." by Mike Hsu

Nick Lachey
02-20-09 Nick Lachey performs a Mix Lounge on stage at The Colonnade Hotel. He performed 4 songs including “Patience” from his new album Coming Up for Air debuting in May 2009. Affable, self-effacing and a genuine are all good words to describe Nick and are all too uncommon in show business. He took the time to sign autographs and take photos for everyone in the room (100+ lucky attendees). LISTEN to the Concert at MIX.
The funniest part of the day was the question and answer session. A nine year old guest asked him a question he had never heard before “Did you have your tonsils taken out?”. Nick had some nice words to say about Boston and the hotel. We’re grateful to host him and hope he returns soon. Trust us – if the single is anything like the rest of the album, it’s sure to be a massive hit. View the Boston Globe Article.
